Description
Are you looking to gain a nationally recognised Level 2 Warehousing qualification whilst working in a rapidly growing Healthcare company? If so Millbrook Healthcare are recruiting for a Warehouse Apprentice to join our team at our Devon Community Equipment Depot.
The Apprenticeship will provide the foundation knowledge, skills and experience for the role of Warehouse Operative to learn about the distribution and warehousing industry. Level 2 Learners will gain a variety of skills such as; thorough understanding of stock control, best practice for storing goods, maintaining health and safety in a working environment as well as good team work and effective communication.
Work alongside and support the existing Warehouse Operatives/ Driver Technicians and Service Engineers within the depot
Occasionally during busy times, accompany another engineer on two – person jobs in the fieldProcess all associated paperwork concerning warehousing, repairs and servicing accurately
Ensure all warranty and scrap returns are labelled correctly and collated at the end of each day
Help and support the workshop engineers by undertaking engineering work in terms of service and repairs
Assist with annual and interim stocktakes as required

Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standards has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English. Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role. Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end point assessment.
