A local general building company is looking to recruit a Bricklayer Apprentice based near Truro, Cornwall.
KRB is a small company run by Kevin Butler and based in Threemilestone, Truro, Cornwall. Kevin’s aim is to provide a high quality service for a competitive price.

The successful applicant will be working alongside and supporting an experienced worker in carrying tasks as necessary.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who is interested in both learning and becoming qualified in craft masonry / bricklaying.
You must have good practical and hand skills with a keen desire to progress further under the guidance of our experienced team leaders.
You will be working on various projects within the business including Construction Works, New Builds and Renovations but you due to business demands you may also be required to assist with Groundworks, Demolition, Landscaping, Drainage, Trenches for all services, garden maintenance works and Tarmacking.
Wage will be negotiated after the first 6 months depending on outcomes and capability
You will be required to have your own transport and a good understanding of English and Maths.
The successful candidate will be practical and have previous experience, either at college or on site.
A CSCS Card would be beneficial however is not essential.
You should have a willingness to learn, be punctual and reliable.
You must be able to listen and take/follow instructions.
You will be working towards achieving a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Bricklaying with the possibility of permanent employment with the company once the apprenticeship is successfully completed.
What is involved?
This apprenticeship includes the following qualifications:
To gain the Level 2 Apprenticeship in Trowel Occupations you will attend: a one day college induction, college sessions and functional skills (if applicable). Further assessment is carried out through on site observation and the production of evidence from the workplace by the apprentice which requires self-study and assessor visits at employer locations.
