Detailed Job Description

Duties will include:

  • General accounts administration
  • assist credit controller & purchase ledger
  • Posting receipts on Sage L50
  • Processing Sage Pay receipts
  • Reconciling Sage Pay receipts
  • Processing credit applications
  • Processing Sales credits
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Chasing outstanding debts

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

7 GCSE A-C including Maths and English.

Skills required

  • Competent in MS Office particularly excel
  • Commercially aware
  • Sage experience although not essential

  • Good time keeper

Future prospects

Full study support for AAT and above with strong prospects to progress within the company.

Additional Information

Training provided

AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Level - This qualification will prepare apprentices for junior and entry level accounting roles. It delivers a solid foundation in finance administration - covering areas such as bookkeeping, basic costing principles and using accounting software.

They will learn finance, accountancy, business and communications skills. There will be other skills they will learn but usually this is set out by the employer but usually include:

  • Accounts preparation
  • Prepare accounts for sole traders and partnerships
  • Cost and revenue
  • Professional ethics
  • Indirect tax
  • Spreadsheet software
