Description
Our award winning Café opened in 2005. Inspired by our travels around the world and the abundance of wonderful local produce, we aimed to provide simply fantastic food and great coffee. As far as possible we make everything ourselves using local produce and inspiring recipes. People come from far and wide just to sample our salads! Currently we are busy making jams, preserves and chutneys.
This is an opportunity to earn whilst you learn with an award winning provider whilst working at The Cafe at Green Pavilion!
Your duties will include;
Prepare and cook dishes
Assisting with food preparations for service Correct storage of food
Working with customers
Completing daily kitchen cleaning tasks to maintain a high level of hygiene
Adhere to all health and safety laws and licensing laws

You must have willingness to learn and be keen on working in a busy hospitality environment.
No qualifications required as full training is to be provided, however basic maths and English skills are desirable.
Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship
Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standards has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.
Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.
Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.
Must be reliable, hardworking, very good communicator. Working in a café environment you must have good personal hygiene, good people skills, friendly, happy team player, must be confident with customers.
There is the possibility of a permanent position, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
