Description

The main duties of this apprenticeship will cover, diagnosing and rectifying vehicle defects, removing and fitting tyres and carrying out service checks. Due to the practical nature of this sector, you will be fully trained and supervised as and when required.

You will need to be very practically minded, enjoy using your hands and fixing things.

You must achieve a score of at least entry level 3 on the college based online initial assessment’s in English, Maths and IT (details will be emailed to you if you are successful for interview).

A previous (Motor Vehicle) level 2 qualification, preferably gained at college, or experience of working with the sector.

You will work towards completing the Level 2 Apprenticeship I Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

You will need to be committed to a career within the automotive industry. You will need to be honest, trustworthy, keen to learn, hardworking, reliable and have the ability to use your initiative.

A DBS check will be required for this position.

A full time permanent position will be available upon completion of the apprenticeship with potential to become an MOT tester in the future.
