Description
Muffin Break is a fast paced coffee shop in a shopping centre in the heart of Norwich City Centre. Serving, regular and non-regular customers throughout the day
.The Front of House customer service assistant working as part of a team,
duties include:
Greeting customers,Taking orders and serving customers.
Operating the payment point,
Preparing, making and serving coffees/hot drinks using a barista machine (training provided) in line with the customer’s order requirements.
General cleaning including table clearing and cleaning of customer areas and service areas including equipment.
Following opening and closing procedures including correct storage of food in line with company procedures and legislation, replenishment of customer’s areas and supervised by the duty manager/team leader.
You will have a genuine love of great service and be able to work as part of a happy dynamic team.
You should have exceptional customer service skills and an ability to interact with our customers.
As an Apprentice you will be included on a Hospitality Team Member qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Regional Trainer coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

Good communication and numeracy skills. Proactive approach to work and able to work on their own initiative as well as in a team. Confident in dealing with members of the public.
English and Maths GSCE grade C or above. Must complete Maths and English Functional Skills as part of the apprenticeship.
Apprenticeship Hospitality Team Member Level 2
Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.
Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock Regional Trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.
Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.
A cheerful flexible approach to work, smart appearance is essential.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a hard worker with good communication skills and who is able to provide excellent customer service.
