Description

We offer riding instruction for ages 3 years old to 80 years old. Our ponies and horses, combined with our enthusiastic instructors aim to provide our clients with not only expert tuition but fun. We provide training from complete beginners to advanced in flat work and showjumping.

We have a purpose built lunge pen for lunge lessons and the very nervous. We are an Equestrian Center that are happy to give our pupils all the time they need on quiet horses or ponies or to give them the chance to progress onto good showjumping horses and ponies when ready.

We are in the process of having a small cross country course built on our land.

We are looking to employ a hard-working and enthusiastic individual who fits in with our team and is interested in learning the ropes of the riding school as well as working towards your Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship qualification.

General duties to include;

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Paddock maintenance
  • Schooling
  • Riding
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Some Horse care experience would be an advantage
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training given through the Haddon Training Apprenticeship Scheme

A full time position on completion of apprenticeship
