Description

As a fledgling Dressage Stud we aim to breed top class dressage horses for sale to the amateur and professional market. We use only graded mares with carefully selected stallions from around Europe who will complement each other. We aim to breed the dam line which is so important, not just focussing on the stallion. We are supporters of line breeding where one or more ancestors occur more than once in the pedigree which means the strongest DNA will shine through giving a better chance of the foal making their mark as a top dressage horse in the dressage world.

Not only are our current mares graded but they are also out successfully competing on the dressage circuit proving that they can not only produce but also perform well in the dressage arenas. We strive to provide the market with future dressage stars combining both movement, conformation and temperament. Upholding our reputation as a leading Dressage Stud, we only offer the highest quality Dressage Horses for Sale.

We are currently recruiting for a young Apprentice to join our busy stud to help with all aspects of the running of the stud and to work towards their Level 2 Equine Groom qualification.

General duties to include;

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Paddock maintenance
  • Schooling (dependent on ability)
  • Riding (dependent on ability)
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Experience with horses will be essential, must be confident handling horses
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training provided by Haddon Training
Successful candidate will be hardworking and interested in dressage and breeding
Possibility of Senior Groom Apprenticeship on completion of Level 2
