Description

Bentry and Henbury Children’s Centre offers high quality services for young children and their families, the community services we offer are well received by our community and we have an excellent history of effective multi-agency working.

We are looking for someone to join our excellent team as an Apprentice Nursery Assistant.

You will assist in the provision and maintenance of an emotionally secure, safe, consistent, supportive and caring environment appropriate to the individual needs of young children and their families, whilst working towards your Level 2 Children and Young People’s Workforce Apprenticeship.

Other duties include:

Caring for children’s care needs

Assisting with cleaning duties

Planning and supervising activities

Helping children learn

Ensuring Children are in a safe environment

Your qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider!

Good communication skills, can use own initiative, willing to learn, willing to care for all children’s care needs. Must be willing to take direction from supervisor of childcare room.
No specific qualifications required, as full training is to be provided.

Level 2 Children and Young People’s Workforce Apprenticeship

Each framework includes a diploma/certificate which shows the practical skills, a technical certificate to confirm the knowledge and understanding and Functional Skills in Maths and English.

You will be assessed throughout the apprenticeship and complete the qualification based on the competencies within your job role.

You will be assessed by a combination of observations, professional discussion, question and answer sessions and self-study which is required to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the career route you have chosen.

Willingness to work towards the creation of a caring, safe atmosphere for all using the nursery/centre, communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. A willingness to attend to children’s physical needs and the ability to work as part of a team.
The possibility of a full-time Nursery Assistant position, or with further training/studying the chance to apply for an Early Years Practitioner post if one becomes available.
