Café assistant,
Duties will include;
• clearing tables,
• washing up,
• cleaning shop
• food preparation area,
• Making drinks,
• learning barista skills,
• use of the till,
• interacting with customers.
• The role of Apprentice hospitality team member is to provide support to the entire team and complete general day to day duties within the hospitality sector.

Open personality, able to communicate well. Willing to learn lots of varying roles. Good timekeeping, able to work well as part of a team. Ability to learn and pick up skills by watching and practising.
Maths and English desirable, but not essential, as can be completed as part of the course. Computer literate desirable but not essential.
Level 2 Hospitality Team member Apprenticeship
Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standards has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.
Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.
Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.

This position will provide you with extensive experience dealing with customers and will provide you with knowledge and experience for your future career. This role could potentially lead to the applicant becoming fully barista trained with full knowledge of the day to day running of a coffee shop to take into future employment. There is a possibility of part time employment with the company once fully trained
