Detailed Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career through an apprenticeship, as an ICT Technician.

Duties are outlined below:

  • Log support calls from existing customer base on affinity ticket system.
  • Check delivered equipment against orders and tag for deployments.
  • Build end point devices against customer check lists and testing.
  • Support Technical Consultants and Senior Technical consultants on project installations.
  • You will gain exposure to a wide range of areas that include troubleshooting, customer support, training and documentation and project delivery.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

GCSE Maths and English grade A*-C/4 or above or equivalent.

Skills required

  • Experience of installing and maintaining PC hardware and software.
  • Experience of Microsoft operating systems and Office packages.
  • Experience of troubleshooting Computer/Network faults.
  • Health and safety awareness.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Demonstrate good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise under pressure.
  • Be enthusiastic and positive.
  • Be well motivated and hardworking and above all reliable.

Personal Qualities

The ideal person for this role will show:

  • Good level of literacy and numeracy.
  • Some knowledge of non-windows environments (including Apple, Android, Pi, Chrome OS).
  • Experience of using and preparing audio/visual equipment.
  • Experience of supporting end users.

Future prospects

For the right candidate, there will be opportunities for a permanent roles and further training.
