Detailed Job Description

The Cyber Security Analyst will apply an understanding of cyber threats, hazards, risks, controls, measures and mitigations to protect organisations systems and people.

They will work to achieve required security outcomes in a legal and regulatory context in all parts of the economy with a particular focus on security design & architecture, security testing, investigations & response.

Operating within the Vodafone Fixed Line Assure and Operate models, the main focus of this role is to provide the support required to resolve security and network related incidents and to deliver projects and customer implementations activities on a 24/7 basis.

You will contribute to objectives to improve: fault management performance, Service reliability & Service performance.

This is a real-time operational role providing a ‘centre of excellence’ for supporting complex multi-technology solutions, in addition to a providing a comprehensive knowledge of specific cyber security technologies.

A highlight of your apprenticeship will be QA’s Cyber Labs. This is an experience which immerses you in real life, cyber-attack situations in a purpose-built, controlled, facility uniquely constructed by QA.

This hands on practice, held over three days, arms you with the skills to pass your programme whilst giving you an advantage over others who may not have overcome challenges like these before.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

Have achieved a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (including Maths and English Language)

Have completed your Level 3 studies (A-levels, BTEC Level 3 or Level 3 Apprenticeship) by September 2018

Ideally a Level 3 qualification in an IT-related subject•Be eligible to work in the UK and will not be in full-time education by September 2018

Have lived in the UK and/or EU for 3 years prior to September 2018
