This is a fantastic opportunity to join Little Green Day nursery to support children with their development. You will play a key part in supporting them with all aspects of their lives and work closely with other members of staff.

Little Green Day Nursery offers a safe, stimulating environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. The nursery comprises of 3 large, bright, purpose built rooms equipped to the highest standard. We pride ourselves on excellent communication at Little Green Day Nursery and each day staff will share information with you about your child’s busy day with us. Our younger children have a daily diary which travels home with them and our pre-school children have a weekly diary. We love to hear your news too and we encourage you to add information to your child’s diary whenever you can. Twice a year we will invite you to share your child’s learning journey and your child’s key person will share your child’s development record with you. Each term we track your child’s progress and send home a next steps summary which will show the area of learning we are currently focusing on with your child. Staff are always happy to discuss your child’s progress at any time should you have any concerns. In fact, staff are always on hand to chat with you about anything at all to do with your child.

Detailed Job Description

  • To be a team player, working in a professional and responsible manner
  • To have good knowledge of child development
  • To observe, document and report on key children’s progress and achievements
  • To communicate clearly with parents/guardians/carers encouraging them to participate in their child’s progress and development
  • Supervise children at play – indoors,outdoors and mealtimes
  • Ensure personal care routines for individual children are met

  • To work with children
  • To attend all training as set out in your training agreement
  • To complete all assignments set on time
  • To work as part of the team

Personal Qualities

  • To development positive and supportive relationships with other staff.
  • To attend and participate in staff meetings and appropriate training sessions to keep up to date on company policy/ procedures and statutory requirements.
  • To participate in all self development activities including appraisals.
