Detailed Job Description

  • Answer office telephone and put callers through to appropriate co-workers, take accurate messages and pass them on.
  • Photocopying as required, printing leaflets and newsletters
  • Creating documents, posters, tables etc.
  • Excel spreadsheet and database entries as requested by Service Manager
  • Provide admin support to service areas as required / requested via the Service Manager
  • Attend fully any training, coaching or team meetings etc as requested, outside normal working day
  • Be flexible to suit the needs of the post and work fairly with the team as required, including taking turns in small extra duties.
  • Work as a team and support with emergency situations as required and upholding policies on Health & Safety, Equal Opps etc
  • To be part of the Headway team contributing to wider activities by volunteering on at least one outside of hours event and one compulsory special fund raising event each year etc
  • Uphold all terms and conditions of this post
  • Work with your assessor towards achieving appropriate NVQ qualification
  • Undertaking any other tasks as agreed with the Service Managers or Chief Executive.

Additional Information

Training provided

Apprenticeship to be delivered Full on-the-job training and support will be provided to enable the successful applicant to undertake the full range of duties required of the role. All apprentices are required to complete and evidence 20% of the job learning whilst on their apprenticeship.

In addition, training will also be provided towards the Apprenticeship in Business Administration within the workplace during regular visits with a member of our dedicated team of Training Advisors.

Our Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship Programme consists of the following:

NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration · Functional Skills in Literacy, Numeracy and IT Level 2 (portfolio & test)
