As an apprentice technician you will be working alongside an experienced technician working on customer’s vehicles in the area of hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic installation to new vehicles and some repair and fault diagnostics.

A Heavy Vehicle (HV) technician services, inspects and repairs HVs, categorised by the Department of Transport as category N2 or N3, and associated trailers, with the associated ancillaries.
You will work on all the systems found within the vehicle.
The nature of the work ranges from replacing simple parts through to solving complex faults with the use of diagnostic methods and equipment.
The day-to-day tasks you will face are constantly changing, driven by the introduction of ever more complex technologies and diagnostic techniques.
You will have to demonstrate expertise in the technical side of the role.
You must have strong problem-solving skills and a good grasp of the theoretical and practical aspects of vehicles systems and associated ancillaries.
You must be able to work independently but also operate as an effective team member, understanding how their workshop functions from a commercial perspective.
Have good customer handling skills and identify ways in which they can work more efficiently.
Minimum Grade 4 / C and above GCSE in English and Maths
An excellent opportunity exists to be a fully qualified HGV Fitter with excellent long-term career prospects and income earning potential. At the end of the Apprenticeship there is a strong possibility of being offered a permanent role for the right candidates.
The company is going through a period of growth, with a new factory having been opened recently and more expansion is planned.
Level 3 Graded at Pass, Merit or Distinction This standard has been designed to meet the professional standards of the relevant professional bodies of the Engineering Council for initial registration as an Engineering Technician (Eng. Tech). On completion of the standard the Engineering Technician will be eligible to apply for registration as an Engineering Technician with a relevant professional body. On completion and achievement of the standard, candidates will have the opportunity to progress to Master Technician, management or to develop in their current role.
You will be required to attend a pre-interview at PRC. You will be expected to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and work
