Description

* IMMEDIATE START *

Position available for a hardworking Level 2 Equine Groom Apprentice as stable hand/groom in a busy, friendly Riding School with dressage and show jumping.

Duties will include all aspects of the yard activities. The day is broken up into two split sections: start time at 8am until 1pm and then from 3pm until 6pm. The staff may stay at the yard for their break, where there are kitchen facilities available.

General Yard Duties;

  • Mucking out
  • Turn out
  • Grooming
  • Tacking up
  • Leading during lessons, assisting during lessons as instructed
  • Possible exercising horses
  • Field management
  • Package could include share on a horse or inclusion in riding lessons

Experience with horses is essential
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
