Description

As our Office/Business Administrator Apprentice you will be carrying out a variety of administrative functions and tasks, essential for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our Sales and Events departments. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out day-to-day administrative tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Assisting in the preparation of the bi-weekly events meetings
  • Creating internal function sheets to support the events team
  • Updating the events log, ensuring all business is recorded and kept up-to-date
  • Supporting the Sales & Marketing Manager in proofing all events marketing material
  • Assisting in implementing any sales strategies created by the Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Payment tracking; chasing payments before and after events

Day 4: Business Awareness. Business types, structures. Business markets

Day 5: Financial Management

Day 6; Study day. Practice tests (based on previous content)

Day 7: Teamwork

Day 8: Legislation. H&S. Include COSHH, RIDDOR, Risk Assessments

Day 9: Legislation. E&D. DPA & GDPR. Freedom of Information

Day 10: Legislation. Employment Relations. Working time Directive. PUWER. Environment and Sustainability

Day 11: Producing documents. Following processes. Quality / Audit processes

Day 12: Study day Practice tests (based on previous content)

Day 13: Windows ‘Office’Word including mail merge, PP

Day 14: ExcelData Analysis and presentation

Day 15: Databases Data analysis and presentation

Day 16: Business planning. Organising work. Coaching and mentoring others

Day 17: Business improvement. Problem solving. Apprentices will be asked to work with their manager to identify a business improvement project.

Day 18: Study day Practice tests (based on previous content)

Day 19: Presentation skills

Day 20: Project management and development. Apprentices will be required to present their improvement project

Day 21: Change management

Day 22: Study day and individual project development reviews. Practice tests and practice presentation

Day 23: Employer presentation – morning Study day – afternoon

On a successful completion of apprenticeship, there is a possibility of a permanent role.
Monday to Friday. May occasionally include some weekends but standard working days will be week days.
