Description

We offer a friendly and professional BHS approved Riding School and Livery Yard.

Our excellent facilities include indoor and outdoor schools, large indoor stables, year-round grazing in post and rail paddocks and fantastic hacking directly on our doorstep. We offer all types of livery, from DIY to personalised part and full livery packages. Horses are also taken for breaking, short-term schooling and holiday livery.

We are now recruiting for Level 2 Equine Groom to join our team and to work towards their qualification over the next 12 months with us.

General duties to include;

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Schooling
  • Riding
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Experience with horses is essential
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
