Do you want to join our team? We are currently recruiting for a Trainee (Traineeship) to work alongside our current staff to ensure the smooth running of the equestrian centre as well as the opportunity to ride for capable riders.

Learn from the best and get the best in return! We are looking for a hard-worker who is passionate about learning the ropes and getting stuck in to all jobs.

You will be friendly, enthusiastic and flexible and keen to succeed within the equine industry.

General duties to include;

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Schooling
  • Riding
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Some basic experience with horses would be beneficial
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English.
Full training supported by Haddon Training
Successful candidate will be hard-working, enthusiastic and willing to learn
Possibility of Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship on completion of Traineeship
