KEY RESULT AREAS
- To develop the skills to effectively support staff in the Pre-Operative Department, and liaise with other relevant departments.
- To deal with enquiries in person and on the telephone, from hospital staff and patients in a polite and helpful manner and refer these as appropriate.
- To develop the skills to undertake general office duties such as preparing the anaesthetic clinic lists, requesting/tracering patient notes, scanning documents, typing of the anaesthetic clinic letters and answering queries on the telephone/email.
- To develop skills enabling the recording of attendance and outcome of the pre-assessment clinics.
- To act as an ambassador for Apprenticeships and participate in events.
- To achieve the Intermediate Level 2 in Business Administration Apprenticeship qualification within the specified time frame.
- Attend all of the training sessions for the programme, whenever necessary.
- Undertake 20% of your working week in learning activities identified by the training provider and line manager and undertake any additional written work in your own time.

- Teams and staff of the Pre-Assessment Department including Consultant Anaesthetists.
- Various Trust staff on a regular basis.

- Day 6 Equality and Diversity: Understanding equality and diversity; Benefits of E&D; Legal implications. Apprenticeship Assessment/ Programme Review visit at workplace.
- Day 7 Teamwork: Developing good work relationships; Making a positive contribution to the business; Dealing with conflict.
- Day 8 Project development (½ day): Identification of project; Developing business case; Developing project plan.Health and Safety. Legislation requirements.
- Day 9 Project development (½ day): Reviewing project progress; Developing project.Study ½ day. Apprenticeship Assessment/ Programme Review visit at workplace.
- Day 10 Presentation skills:Project review; Presentation skills; Presentation software.
- Day 11 Project presentations. Learner project presentations to employer audience. *Presentation of certificates for unit examination achievements.* Time/duration dependant on cohort group size.
