Detailed Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to start your career, and complete an Business Administration Apprenticeship while working at Longacre Nursing Home in the role of Apprentice Administrator.

Duties Include -

This role is for an enthusiastic individual who will assist the team and Manager of the home with all Administration tasks.

The role will involve answering incoming calls and responding by taking a message or transferring the caller to another member of the team .

Greeting visitors to the home in a professional manner .

Update forms on the computer.

Filing, Printing and Photocopying.

Typing letters on the computer.

Show People round the business .

Liaising with Health Professional on behalf of the Home Manager.

As an Apprentice you will be included on a Business Administration Apprenticeship. Your qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Regional Trainer coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

GCSE grade A- C or functional skills at grade 1 or above.

Skills required

You will need to have an ability to take and follow instructions.

Someone who takes pride in the quality and completion of their work .

Someone who does what it takes to “get the job done.

Personal Qualities

To be successful in this role you will need to have good communication skills (both verbally and written).

Able to provide excellent customer service. .

Be punctual and have a can do attitude.

Future prospects

This is a fixed contract for the length of the Apprenticeship.

Training provided

Level 2 Apprenticeship Business Administration

Each framework includes a diploma/certificate which shows the practical skills, a technical certificate to confirm the knowledge and understanding and Functional Skills in Maths and English.

You will be assessed throughout the apprenticeship and complete the qualification based on the competencies within your job role.

You will be assessed by a combination of observations, professional discussion, question and answer sessions and self-study which is required to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the career route you have chosen.
