This is an exciting opportunity to work and train towards becoming a fully qualified Vehicle Body Repair Technician. The role will include: assisting senior technicians with assessing the level of damage on the vehicle, to see whether the vehicle is repairable. Remove damaged panels, repair damaged panels and chassis.

Description

Body Repair duties will include:

  • Assessing a vehicle to establish the extent of damage
  • Based on the initial assessment, deciding whether to repair or replace bodywork
  • Removing damaged panels
  • Stripping and refitting trim and panel interior
  • Refitting new/repaired panels

You will be based within the Body Shop, involved in learning all aspects of repairing accident damaged vehicles, including chassis alignment techniques, panel repair and replacement, welding and preparing vehicles for painting.

You will work and train within the workplace. You will be allocated a work-based college skills coach who will regularly visit you in the workplace to ensure that you are continually working towards your qualification and increasing your knowledge and competency within the workplace.
