Description
As an MET Apprentice, you will work in a body shop and strip down accident damaged vehicles prior to them being repaired and rebuild them after. You would work on both light and heavy damaged vehicles from stripping bumpers to removing engines, as well as undertaking basic diagnostic work.
MET duties also include:
- Removing and fitting basic mechanical, electrical and trim components.
- Removing and fitting non-structural body panels
- Removing, renewing and refitting mechanical, electrical systems and assemblies and trim following accident damage
- Removing and reinstalling mechanical, electrical systems and assemblies and trim following accident damage
- Vehicle Inspection
You will work and train within the workplace. You will be allocated a work-based college skills coach who will regularly visit you in the workplace to ensure that you are continually working towards your qualification and increasing your knowledge and competency within the workplace.

Candidates must achieve a score of at least Entry Level 3 on the college based online initial assessments in English, Maths and IT.
