NLG are looking to recruit an Apprentice Warehouse Operative
you will work as part of a team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse, receiving goods, processing customer orders for dispatch each day. Working under the day to day control of the Warehouse Manager, we are looking for an engaging and enthusiastic Warehouse picker / packer, who will assist in the day to day picking, packing and warehouse tasks.
Role and responsibilities:-
Day to day tasks including but not limited to:
Picking and packing tasks
Keep the management informed of any problems
Working as a team member
Attention to detail when completing tasks
Ensure you play a part in ensuring a tidy, clean and safe working environment
Booking in deliveries and keeping the warehouse organised
Working to quality standards
General warehouse duties of unloading deliveries, moving items etc.
As an Apprentice you will be included on an Intermediate Diploma in Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Regional Trainer coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

Good close attention to detail.Ability to express themselves clearly.Able to use your own initiative is key when working in a busy warehouse. Nature of the warehouse role requires a certain level of physical capability.
Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship.
Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.
Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.
Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.
Looking for someone who is very conscious of their time keeping and has a can do attitude to new tasks.
This will be for an on-going role after the end of the Apprenticeship.
