Description
Puddle Ducks Pre-School opened for business in 2001 and have been serving Alvingham and the surrounding areas ever since.
Puddle ducks Pre-Schools Philosophy is to help children develop at their own pace in a secure, safe and family environment.
We strive to ensure that they can have as many experiences as possible, so that they leave us as well rounded and developed children.
Puddle ducks Pre-Schools require two nurturing individuals to join their workforce as Apprentice Nursery Assistant and complete an Apprenticeship in Childrens & Young Person’s Workforce.
As an Apprentice your duties will include;
• Caring for children’s emotional, social and personal needs,
• Ensuring the environment is clean, safe and engaging
• Plan and supervise activities,
• Support children’s learning and development,
• Ensure all nursery policies and procedures are followed
• Communicate with parents/carers regarding their children.
As an Apprentice you will be included on a Childcare Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship

Intermediate Diploma in Childrens & Young Person’s Workforce
.Each framework includes a diploma/certificate which shows the practical skills, a technical certificate to confirm the knowledge and understanding and Functional Skills in Maths and English.
You will be assessed throughout the apprenticeship and complete the qualification based on the competencies within your job role.
You will be assessed by a combination of observations, professional discussion, question and answer sessions and self-study which is required to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the career route you have chosen.
