Prefer to work straight shifts? Look no further than an apprenticeship at the Waymarker where 90% of the shifts are daytime hours only.
Want to earn a wage that reflects your age and experience not just basic apprentice rate? We will match your hourly rate to your age and reward development of skills within our business.
If you'd like a challenging and exciting opportunity in our forward-thinking organisation we can provide the right candidate great scope to boost future employability or even permanently incorporate into the team responsible for The Waymarker business evolution.
Since opening in October 2009 The Waymarker has transformed from humble offerings of basic specials board pies, quiches & sandwich menus and a now infamous Sunday Roast. The current menus range from classic Brasserie style dinners, splendid light lunches & mouth watering cakes whether gluten & dairy are your friends or not! We like to think we offer something for every appetite and taste preference. The beverage menus include famous locally roasted Origin Coffee, Tregothnan tea & luxury local ice cream shakes. This evolution has resulted in being recognised as one of the top restaurants in Falmouth. From our stunning rural location, we have built a reputation for providing friendly customer service and great food using the finest quality Cornish ingredients. The Waymarker was crowned “Truly Cornish Cream Tea” Champion in 2014. Our legendary Roast Lunch has been voted in top3 best Cornwall Sunday Roast for the last three years running. Throughout our growth we have continued to create amazing homemade dishes using local ethically sourced Cornish ingredients, making us one of the best loved Rural Restaurants in Falmouth and possibly Cornwall. Our small, dedicated and friendly team at The Waymarker has been paramount in our success. All staff work both front and back of house meaning customers can enjoy their knowledge of ingredients and dishes, while being introduced to new food combinations and sources.
