Aside from over 150 xc schooling fences and show jumping course on site we have 18 large Loddon Indoor and Outdoor stables all with rubber matting, wash down box etc, 62 x 22 Equestrian Surfaces Cushiontrack all weather arena (no puddles, no freezing, no mess!!), large and small turnout paddocks, CCTV & 24 hour supervision.

A very good team of trusted vets, farrier, dentist, physio, chiropractor, feed merchant all of whom we have worked with for many years.

Cross Country clinics cater for all levels and ability of horse and rider. Featuring only the best Event riders and Trainers in the world. In addition Team Training for Pony, Junior, Young Rider & Senior Championship Teams also regularly takes place including London and Rio Olympics.

General duties to include;

  • Mucking out
  • Turning out/bringing in
  • Tack cleaning
  • Tacking up
  • Feeding
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming
  • Bathing
  • Rug changing
  • Schooling – dependent on experience
  • Riding – dependent on experience
  • First aid
  • Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining)
  • Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

The successful Apprentice will have the opportunity to travel to shows with the team. You will have a passion for eventing and would ideally have experience with competition horses already.

Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
Keen, hard-working, reliable and a good sense of humor. Willing to work outside in all weathers.
Progression onto Level 3 Horse Care and Management, or full time position.
This is a live in position, if needed. There is the possibility to bring your own horse.
