Description
A fantastic opportunity has become available at the Novotel in Sandiacre They are looking for an apprentice to join the Reception team to work in busy hotel. You will need the Ability to work as part of a team as well as being self motivated. You will need Good communication skills & a ’common sense’ approach is welcomed. Also being Computer literate would be advantage.
Duties will include
• Answering telephone enquiries
• Dealing with guests,
• Cash handling
• Processing payments,
• Dealing with bookings
• Presenting a good image of the hotel at all times.
This is a customer facing role so a passion for customer service is a must. Previous experience with OPERA front office system is desirable but not essential. Will be required to work shifts to meet business demands, this includes evenings, weekends & bank holidays.
As an Apprentice you will be included on an Apprenticeship, this will involve a Regional Trainer visiting you every four weeks to deliver the training and coach the Apprentice and will be observing whilst you work

Level 2 Business Administration Apprenticeship.
Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.
Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.
Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.
Friendly & outgoing & good communication skills are essential. Basic computer knowledge also an advantage
