Powerfit Pneumatics and Hydraulics
Description
Powerfit manufactures hydraulic hose assemblies, repair hydraulic, pneumatic and pressure washer systems, supply hydraulic and pneumatic components. We also supply quality manual tools and power tools, engineering consumables, and lubricants.
This is an excellent opportunity to work and train as an Apprentice Engineer.
The role will include:
- Learning hydraulic basics
- Assembling hose assemblies
- Serving customers and handling sales
- Repairing machinery such as compressors, pressure washers and hydraulic power packs
- Learning to build and repair hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, valves and components
- Learning to use hand, power tools and work in a workshop
- Keeping the workshop tidy and working safely
- Ordering stock, receiving stock and serving customers
You will work towards completing the Level 2 (intermediate) Apprenticeship in Engineering. This will include one day per week college attendance.

You must achieve a score of at least Entry Level 3 on the college based online initial assessments in English, Maths and IT
You will work towards completing the Level 2 (intermediate) Apprenticeship in Engineering (this will include one day per week college attendance).
- To be able to talk to customers, understand problems and work out solutions
- Be good at time keeping
- Driving licence is preferred but not essential
- Be competent with computers and tools
- A genuine interest in engineering
A full time, permanent position may be available on successful completion of the apprenticeship
