San Lorenzo Washington has an exciting opportunity for a Front of House Apprentice to join their busy team.
We are looking for an individual who is looking to take their first step into a world of catering. Working alongside a vibrant team with vast amounts of experience we want to really push this individual to progress and gain the experience and qualifications necessary to move them onto the next level in catering.In your role as Apprentice Front of House Hospitality Assistant your duties will include;
Waiting on, taking orders, serving food and drinks to customers.
Clearing and cleaning tables.
Bar duties, serving drinks, restocking fridges & stock. rotation.
Maintain the cleanliness of the trading areas and ensure correct procedure is followed for all equipment used.
Taking bookings & dealing with enquiries.
Handle cash & credit card transactions.
Adhere to health & safety policies.
As an Apprentice Hospitality Assistant you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and serving food and drinks to customers in a friendly and professional manner and communicating with bar and kitchen staff.
As part of your role as an Apprentice Hospitality Assistant you will be included on a Hospitality Qualification. This will involve a monthly visit from a Regional Trainer to deliver training, coach you and observe you whilst you work. Your training will be provided by an award winning Training Provider.

Must be punctual, reliable and hard working. Willing to take orders from the management team and ask questions if unsure. Complete duties given in a timely manner. To complete training provided.

Level 2 Hospitality Team Member ( Front of House ) Apprenticeship.
Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standards has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.
Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.
Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.
Must be a team player and eager to learn the skills and knowledge required for the job role. Work well with others and also be prepared to work alone. Must have good communication skills and use their own initiative.
There is potential for a permanent position with the employer on successful completion of the apprenticeship with excellent career progression opportunities for the right person.
