Description

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wanting to commence their career within the Automotive Industry; if you have a passion for cars and how they work this opportunity is for you.

So what is a Parts Advisor?

Firstly, Parts Advisors are busy people so you certainly won’t be bored. They interact with all of the other departments, Service, Sales and Customer Service. They are responsible for ensuring that day to day the Technicians in the workshop have all the necessary parts they need to complete the work on customer’s cars.

They are also responsible for keeping on top of the stock kept onsite which means constant checking of stock quantity and rotation as well as keeping accurate records.

Working in this team you will get to know lots of the different car parts; recognising a leaf spring from a coil spring and knowing their functions. You will then be able to identify them quickly and easily to enable smooth running in the department.

Communication is key, you’ll be on the phone, online and on the forecourt dealing with customers so you need to be ready to multitask. Talking and interacting with customers and understanding their needs, you’ll learn how to identify exactly what a customer’s requirements are and be able to communicate that back to the department.
