The club is a smaller, friendly health club with outstanding customer service with members of all ages, shapes and sizes. We also help members with nutrition plans and motivational personal systems to help all members achieve their desired results.unique – member’s needs are met and we listen to what our members WANT and go the extra mile in helping our clients achieve results. Whatever their age, size or fitness level, Bodyworks can help to reach their goals.
Bodyworks’ members benefit from continuous personal training, advice and encouragement. Members aren’t left on their own – they are taught on an appointment basis. Our systems enable clients to reach their goals faster and it’s worth adding that the majority of our members renew their memberships year-after-year.
We are looking for a person passionate about fitness in the health club environment and someone who has been attending a gym regularly for their own health and fitness. They need to be confident with people and be able to interact with members of the public.
Job role duties will include;
• Helping existing members achieve fitness goals, and help to sign up new members
• Promote health, safety and welfare in active leisure
• Work with clients to help them to adhere to exercise and physical activity
• Give diet and nutrition advice to members
• Plan and prepare gym-based exercise
• Instruct and supervise gym-based exercise
• Reception duties
• Cleaning duties
• Assist in Marketing and promotions
• Full Training will be given to cover the above duties

Full training and guidance will be given throughout your apprenticeship. However, to be successful in this role and in your future career as a fitness instructor or personal trainer you must have excellent communications skill, both verbal and written. You will also need to have excellent people skills and be able to communicate with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Level 2 Apprenticeship in Instructing Exercise & Fitness
Active IQ Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Instructing Exercise and Fitness (QCF Gym-Based)
Active IQ Level 2 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning
Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (QCF)
PLTS - Personal Learning & Thinking Skills Functional Skills - Level 2 Mathematics (if applicable) Functional Skills - Level 2 English (if applicable)
Each framework includes a diploma/certificate which shows the practical skills, a technical certificate to confirm the knowledge and understanding and Functional Skills in Maths and English. You will be assessed throughout the apprenticeship and complete the qualification based on the competencies within your job role. You will be assessed by a combination of observations, professional discussion, question and answer sessions and self-study which is required to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the career route you have chosen.

On completion of the Apprenticeship you will become a fully qualified gym instructor, REPS level 2 certified and a permanent position at Bodyworks is possible following successful completion of Apprenticeship. L3 Gym Instructing is also possible to progress on to.
