Description

This is a fantastic position for an Eventing and Show Jumping rider to work and train on a family-run yard base in Leicestershire. Pasture Loge is a private yard, working and training competition horses for events across the UK and abroad – where the lucky candidate can travel to UK based events to groom. There is minimal riding available, and the candidate must have confidence in handling competition horse. The Apprentice will be working towards their Level 2 Grooms qualification. General duties to include; Mucking out Turning out/bringing in Tack cleaning Tacking up Feeding Filling hay nets Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming Bathing Rug changing Schooling Riding First aid Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.) Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Some horse care experience is required, including competition horse.
Ability to complete Essential Skills in Maths and English
Full training provided through Haddon Training Apprenticeships
