About the role:
You will be working towards your Level 3 AAT qualification by assisting in a range of duties relevant to your studies. You will also be required to attend college one day a week to study. This is a role being developed to enable the right person to continue on into their accountancy qualification and establish a long-term career.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing purchase and sales invoices
- Accounting journals (debts/credits)
- Processing expense claims
- Assisting with month-end accounting procedures
- Undertaking planning and preparation of management accounts from client’s records
- Assisting with Bookkeeping, Payroll and VAT
- Liaising with clients and related third parties on behalf of the practice
- Dealing with telephone calls and correspondence from clients
- General administrative tasks required for smooth running of the practice
- Ad-hoc tasks as required

- Excellent IT skills, MS Office, Word and Excel
- Completion of Level 2 AAT or equivalent, with the minimum requirement being completion of the basic bookkeeping module
- 5 GCSEs grade 4-9 including English and Maths
As an Accountancy Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship at Level 3. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the AAT Level 3 qualification.
The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.

As experience and qualifications are gained, the individual will have the opportunity to work more independently on client assignments. Also we would like the individual to complete the AAT syllabus/qualification levels.
