This exciting new role is an ‘on the job’ apprenticeship scheme, offering the learning hands on experience working within the Kitchen environment at The Brewers ArmsThe fantastic qualification on offer equips the employee with knowledge and experiences. Chef apprentices have the unique opportunity to develop their hospitality skills and knowledge, throughout a 14-month structured training programme, whilst taking on an entry level, full time position.As an Chef Apprentice, you’re an essential part of running of the business, so we are looking for applicants who are passionate about working their way up within a professional kitchen and delivering the best possible guest experience and products.Duties will includefood preparationtaking deliveriescleaningcookingservicekitchen paperworkAs an Apprentice you will be included on a Hospitality Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Regional Trainer coming to visit you at work on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

Maths and English desirable, but not essential, as can be completed as part of the course. Computer literate desirable but not essential.
Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship.
Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices & chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.
Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.
Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.
Must be a team player and eager to learn the skills and knowledge required for the job role. Work well with others and also be prepared to work alone. Must have good communication skills and use their own initiative.
This position could potentially lead to being fully employment with the company.
