•To undertake all duties in relation to the wellbeing of residents, by ensuring the delivery of the highest possible standards of care in a professional manner.
•To ensure residents physical and emotional needs, comfort and dignity are met and maintained and provided appropriate supporting care.
•To provide personal care and attention to each resident, and to follow the activities of daily living in accordance with the plan of care.
•Provide the required assistance with all dietary needs to ensure that residents remain well-nourished and hydrated.
•Promote residents welfare whilst working in partnership with their family and other professionals.
•Carry out duties in line with company policies and equal opportunities, for example helping with social activities, escorting residents on outings, assisting at meal times and light domestic duties.
As an Apprentice you will be included on a Health & Social Qualification.
Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Vocational Learning Advisor coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship.
Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices’ chosen career route, each standards has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English.
Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.
Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.

There is potential for a permanent position at the end of the Apprenticeship and a career with Byker Hall Care Home. On successful completion of the Apprenticeship you will receive a nationally recognised qualification in Health & Social Care.
