Reports to: Assistant Manager/Restaurant Manager

What you will be doing on a weekly basis:

  • Learning how to provide different service styles of food and drinks within the four different restaurants and bars, ensuring a high standard is maintained at all times to guests that reflects the company’s brand
  • Learning to ensure that the food and beverage is correctly presented and served in accordance with service procedures laid down by each restaurant manager and training manuals
  • Learning to ensure that the restaurant (or station) is fully laid up in accordance with standards and that all linen and tableware is of a high standard
  • Learning how to be at all times helpful and courteous towards customers
  • Learning to recognise sales opportunities when they arise and act on them
  • Learning to serve your customers in a friendly, timely, relaxed yet professional and genuine manner
  • Learning how to keep a restaurant section clean & tidy, including the floor area
  • Learning how to deal effectively with customer feedback and complaints
  • Learn how to maintain and further the excellence of the Hotel following statutory Food Safety, Licencing Laws and Health & Safety regulations
  • Maintaining an organised, clean and safe work place, not only for yourself but also for those around you
  • Continually building on product knowledge
  • Learning to prepare hot and cold beverages to company standard in each restaurant or bar

  • Promoting additional services and up-selling and resolving customer service problems
  • Maintaining health, safety and security of the working environment including food safety and hygiene practices
  • Working as part of a team Hospitality Team Member Apprentices must select from one of the following specialist functions: Food & Beverage, Alcoholic Beverage Service, Barista, Food Production, Concierge and Guest Services, House Keeping, Reception.

  • Interest and passion for the food industry
On successful completion of the apprenticeship there is a possibility of a job role.
The working hours will be varied with shift work, weekends and bank holidays to be included. We hold annual reviews, and share our tips amongst all of the staff. There is a auto enrolment in the company pension scheme.
