What experience and skills do I need? We are looking for a bright, intelligent person who is very willing to learn and develop A strong interest in technology paired with the ability to grasp technical concepts quickly and easily is important In addition, your personality, drive, and communication skills will be of importance as there will be a client-facing element to the role You will need to balance competing priorities, so being able to multi-task in a fun but intensive environment where issue prioritisation is a critical skill A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to integrate within the team in addition to using your initiative are essential Finally, you will have: Developed a web application, website or be able to demonstrate your ability and passion within programming, development and design An understanding of basic database design and concepts Basic understanding to the stages of the software development lifecycle Have an appreciation of version control
At least five GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above including maths, English and either IT or Science Ideally, you will have either a minimum of two A levels (or equivalent) a Level 3 Apprenticeship qualification or Level 3 BTEC
Software developer Level 4 Standard.Approximately 11% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 9% is done in the workplace, through online training, face-to-face meetings with your QA Technical Skills Coach, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
With training, able to interpret and implement a given design, compliant with security and maintainability requirements
There will be a permanent position on offer for candidates that meet our expectations and show a strong desire to develop.
