Experience: Experience in an IT Infrastructure support role would be an advantage Core competencies (Technical) : Able to install and configure Windows OS Able to install and configuring Microsoft Office Core competencies (Job related): Excellent written and verbal communications skills Excellent planning and organisational skills Self-motivated with a can-do attitude Attention to detail Prepared to develop new skills and to be mentored and coached Great problem solving skills and can think outside the box Investigation and diagnostic skills Ability to work under pressure Empathy with users Ability to convey information to non-technical colleagues in a concise and clear way
Education and Qualification(s) 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including maths and English Some relevant qualifications e.g. A-Level IT, BTEC IT, (or equivalent) Microsoft certifications, COMPTIA preferred Must be eligible to work in the UK – valid passport and NI
Level 3 Infrastructure Technician apprenticeship standard, which includes:Functional skills in English, maths, and ICT (if applicable)Approximately 11% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 9% is done in the workplace, through online training, face-to-face meetings with your QA Technical Skills Coach, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.
