Detailed Job Description

Initial duties including but not limited to:

  • General Administrative support – Filing, Scanning, Archiving, Data entry
  • Contacting customers providing updates, delivery details etc.
  • Maintain excel spreadsheets and customer databases (ACT)
  • Communicating with suppliers on lead times, documentation etc.
  • Handling telephone calls, forwarding to relevant person / department
  • Assisting with greeting customers in reception
  • Running errands – Post, Banking, Office supplies

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

Good standard of IT, Numeracy and Literacy.

Skills required

  • Punctual, organised and methodical
  • Possess excellent communication skills with attention to detail
  • Competent in the use of computer systems (Microsoft Packages and Outlook essential)
  • Ability to learn quickly and be self-sufficient, working independently and as part of a team.

Personal Qualities

  • Possess excellent communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and build a strong rapport with both clients and co-workers
  • willing to learn new skills

Future prospects

Good future prospects on successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Working week - Monday to Friday 9.00 – 5.30pm
