Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support colleagues within the Business Group with accounts preparation tasks
  • Analysing client bank accounts
  • Inputting of data into accounting packages
  • Performance of accounting reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of P11d’s
  • Support the Company Registrar department with statutory filings
  • Monitor client deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality control procedures

Success measures/performance indicators

  • Feedback from partners, managers and clients
  • Accurate completion of tasks in timely fashion within budget

A minimum of 104 UCAS points, at least one A Level must be in a numerical subject (such as Maths, Statistics or Physics) in addition to a grade B in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent qualifications)

As an Accountancy Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship at Level 3. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the AAT Level 3 qualification.

The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.

Throughout your two year apprenticeship you will have gained practical experience, excellent personal and professional skills and will be familiar with the latest developments in the chartered accountancy profession.

By the time you come to the end of your apprenticeship, you should be working closely with a variety of clients including contacts at director level. You will have practical experience, excellent personal and professional skills and you will be familiar with the challenges facing business as they expand globally. In short, you will have a solid, all-round working knowledge of the profession and will be in a position to begin to formulate your ideas for the future.

We then hope to offer you a further development role beyond your initial two year apprenticeship when we will support you through your next qualification.
