This role presents an exciting and excellent opportunity for those wishing to start a career in local government by joining South Cambridgeshire District Council’s Customer Contact Service as an Apprentice where ‘we put the customer at the heart of everything that we do’ and for those who like a big challenge.
The customer service team delivers the front-line service for Housing Benefits and Council Tax Support. You must be motivated, confident and committed to delivering the best service to all our customers.
To deliver the best service we need the best people who can consistently meet and deliver our high standards. You must display an enthusiastic and positive demeanour at all times, be assertive and confident, be proactive in nature and demonstrate bags of common sense but also, there is a need to display empathy and tact in sensitive situations.
Successful candidates duties will include but may not be limited to the following:
GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in Maths & English is preferred however not required as full on the job training will be provided.
Successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress onto other positions within the council.
You will achieve your Level 2 Customer Service qualification whilst gaining valuable on the job experience.
