Description

Main duties will include but not be limited to: Provide technical support; answering support queries either onsite or via phone or email Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles Take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues Log all calls on the call logging system and maintain full documentation Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve any hardware or software problems Maintain a log of any software or hardware problems detected Support users in the use of Computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice Allocate more complex service issues to the relevant IT Support member Arrange for external technical support where problems cannot be resolved in house Other duties include:  Working in conjunction with the IT Infrastructure Manager and the IT Team Working alongside the IT Infrastructure Manager on the Applications, Telephony, Infrastructure and Systems so they meet current and future needs Supporting the IT Infrastructure Manager to handle the day-to-day user requests from service desk system, Ticketing & Installations and Upgrades

3 x GCSEs at grades A-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in any subject and GCSEs at grades D/3 or above (or equivalent) in English and maths.
Level 3 Infrastructure Technician apprenticeship standard, which includes:Functional skills in English, maths, and ICT (if applicable)Approximately 11% of training takes place in the QA learning centre classroom. 9% is done in the workplace, through online training, face-to-face meetings with your QA Technical Skills Coach, or developing your portfolio. The remaining time will be spent on your workplace activity.

92% of QA Apprentices secure permanent employment after finishing their apprenticeship.  Additionally, there may be opportunities to undertake further apprenticeship training as many of our programs offer ongoing development tracks.
