Surf Beach Bar have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Apprentice Kitchen Assistant to work in a fast paced kitchen alongside their experienced chefs and the rest of the team in their daily roles.
The position would suit a candidate who is interested to learn about the hospitality industry with experienced professionals and a friendly environment.
You will be required to work in all areas of the kitchen as well as front of house when required.
Your duties will include;
• Food preparation
• Plating up food for customers
• Ensuring correct storage of food items
• Ensuring the kitchen areas are clean and sanitised
• Adhering to outstanding food hygiene practises.
You will be enrolled on a Hospitality Team Member qualification specialising in food production, delivered to you be an award winning training provider!

We are looking for someone who has good communication skills, is hard working, a team player but can also complete tasks alone. The candidate will be able to keep calm under pressure and deliver excellent customer service.
None required as full training will be given.
Level 2 Hospitality Team Member - specialising in Food Production.
Apprenticeship standards are aimed at developing skills within the Apprentices chosen career route, each standard has set knowledge, skills and behaviours required to be successful within the job role. This will include the completion of functional skills in Maths and English
Once the apprentice has completed a minimum of 12 months training and the employer and Babcock regional trainer confirm they have met all the requirements of the standard they will be put through to end point assessment. The end point assessment is independent from the training and includes a variety of assessment methods which test the skills and knowledge of the apprentice to ensure they are fully competent in their role.
Each Apprentice will be supported throughout the apprenticeship by a structured programme of teaching, e-learning, face to face training and workplace mentoring; this will encourage and help them to meet the requirements of the new standards and will prepare them for the end of point assessment.
Good standard of personal hygiene, passionate about food, working well within a small team, good timekeeping and use of initiative.
After successful completion of the apprenticeship there are possible progression opportunities for further training for the right person.
