This is an exciting opportunity to work for an established and thriving business, Ajantha Indian Takeaway.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Apprentice to join our team. The successful candidate should be ambitious and keen to learn. You will receive and guidance from our experienced kitchen team. We have a superb working environment .
We have an experienced team and are looking for someone who is hard working and wants to develop themselves. We have an excellent reputation for producing top quality dishes.
Prepare, cook and present food to company specification.
•Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
•Collect and wash up pots and pans.
•Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery.
•Unload food and equipment deliveries.
•Keep the storeroom organized.
•Keep work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitized.
•Peel vegetables and pack sauces/onion salad into pots
•Packing orders ready for collection/deliveries
•Answer phones and take orders when needed
As an Apprentice you will be included on a Hospitality Apprenticeship.
Your qualification will be delivered by an award winning training provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Regional Trainer coming to visit you on a monthly basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship

Customer service is one of the most important elements of working in hospitality therefore excellent inter-personal skills are vital for this role.
Food Hygiene Certificate preferred but not essential
Aside from the practical experience gained, you will also work towards a nationally recognised qualification. This is a Level 2 NVQ Diploma Kitchen Services.
You need to be passionate about food and have a strong desire to work in the hospitality industry. You will need to have a positive attitude, be well presented, motivated, reliable and punctual. You will need to be able to adapt to change.
