Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a reliable, ambitious and hard working individual, to be an instrumental part of a team striving for the top. The successful applicant will take part in all aspects of the day to day care of competition horses. This role includes all general yard duties, preparing horses for competition and travelling to and grooming at training days and events. Hacking will also be available for the right applicant. 28 days paid holiday.

Fantastic local hacking available and there would be plenty of opportunity to travel and groom at events. Top class horses and facilities.

All general yard duties such as;

  • Mucking out
  • Bringing in/turning out
  • Making feeds
  • Paddock and yard maintenance
  • Grooming
  • Lunging
  • Putting the horses on and off the walker
  • Filling hay nets
  • Clipping, plaiting, trimming, pulling, bathing

Some previous experience with horses is essential. If you do not have the appropriate experience, you will not be put forward for the position.
Must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills maths and English
Full training through the Equine Apprenticeship supported by Haddon Training.
Keen, hardworking, reliable, enthusiastic, punctual, good with horses

Full time position on completion of diploma.
