Are you looking to start a career in the leisure industry? Huntingdon Marriott Hotel is looking for an Apprentice Leisure Associate to join the team.
Your duties will include;
•Greet guests upon arrival and ensures that they are checked-in and aware of the facilities available.
•Provides efficient and courteous service to all guests and fitness centre members.
•Able to demonstrate how to use all exercise equipment in an appropriate manner.
•Able to provide show rounds and a general tour of facility to potential members and hotel guests.
•Ensures guests satisfaction by maintaining a clean and safe facility.
•Monitors members activities within the club ensuring that facilities are used in accordance with leisure club rules and guidance.
•Where applicable carries out daily tasks in pool plant to keep pool and spa pool safe and well maintained at all times.
•Wipe down fitness centre machines and remove towels, trash, and debris from fitness centre area.
Maintain an adequate supply of cups and water in recreation area.
•Clean fitness and recreation area restrooms and showers.
•Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures.
•Distribute lockers and towels to guests.
•Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment and inform supervisor/manager of low supply items.
•Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities.
•Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
•Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members.
•Provide assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services.
•Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility.
•Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
•Follow company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and
professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
•Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
•Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
•Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
•Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
•Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines; reach, bend, twist, pull, and stoop; move, lift, or carry
objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
As an Apprentice you will be included on a Level 2 Apprenticeship Operational Service Health & Wellbeing Qualification. Your Qualification will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. This will involve a Regional Trainer coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.
