Description

Dealing with mares, foals and yearlings daily, including prepping yearlings for the Sales of which we are regularly in the top 3 consigners. Duties to include daily mucking out/turn out, holding for vet, farrier and equine dentist, also the opportunity to be in the covering shed and learn about covering mares. Exciting opportunity for an apprentice looking to gain experience and be part of team a large stud farm.> General duties to include;

•Mucking out

.Turning out/bringing in

•Tack cleaning

•Tacking up

•Feeding

•Filling hay nets

•Clipping/pulling/plaiting/trimming

•Bathing

•Rug changing

•Schooling

•Exercising horses from the ground (lunging, horse walker, long reining, pessoa training etc.)

•Holding for vet/farrier/dentist

Some Horse Care Knowledge and experience would be beneficial
Ability to complete L1 or L2 Functional Skills
Full Apprenticeship Training through Haddon Training
Hard Working, loyal, a willingness to learn new skills
On completion then the possibility of a full time position
Working Monday to Thursday 7am to 5pm with 1 hour lunch break and 1/2hour breakfast break with every Friday off Working every weekend with reduced hours being: 7am to 10.30am 2pm to 4.30pm
