Description
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals wanting to gain experience to begin a career in early years.
High Trees Nursery will be supported at every step, learning from our experienced nursery workers and gaining experience of all aspects of early years child care.
The apprenticeship includes training for an intermediate, advanced or higher qualification, to take you to the next step in your career.
The role involves maybe working within the different sites, and looking after variety of aged children.
You will be required to help supervise the children's play, learning activities and meal times.
You will be working as part of a small team.
The role requires caring for all children's care needs, assisting with cleaning duties and preparing snacks.
The candidate will use their own initiative in giving ideas, supporting different activities and interacting with the children, with full supervision and encouragement provided.
As an Apprentice you will be included on a Early Years Care Qualification, this will be delivered by an Award Winning Training Provider who will support your learning and development alongside your mentor throughout your Apprenticeship.
This will involve a Regional Trainer coming to visit you on a regular basis to deliver the training and guide you through your Apprenticeship.

The potential candidate needs to have good communication skills, can use their own initiative skills, willing to learn, willing to care for all the children's care needs and assist in the cleaning duties. Must have an enthusiastic attitude, willing to take direction from the childcare team in the room.
Maths and English GCSE's A*-C are not essential but site would prefer you to hold these, if you have an NVQ level 2 there is possibility of progressing onto a level 3 Early Years.
Level 2 Childrens and Young Person's Workforce
Each framework includes a diploma/certificate which shows the practical skills, a technical certificate to confirm the knowledge and understanding and Functional Skills in Maths and English.
You will be assessed throughout the apprenticeship and complete the qualification based on the competencies within your job role.
You will be assessed by a combination of observations, professional discussion, question and answer sessions and self-study which is required to confirm your knowledge and understanding of the career route you have chosen.
The candidate would need to be motivated, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.They would need to be caring, friendly and have a 'can do ' approach.
The apprenticeship once completed could lead to a position in the setting which leads to further childcare qualifications. Employer may increase wage to the right candidate.
