This is a great opportunity to work as a Business Administration Apprentice, within an established legal firm in central Manchester. Reporting to the Head of Conveyancing this is an opportunity with real responsibility.

Detailed Job Description

  • Maintain and update relevant databases within the department
  • Engage with clients, solicitors, estate agents and brokers
  • General data input duties
  • Photocopying, scanning and filing documents
  • Answering telephone calls, dealing with enquiries
  • Taking messages and transferring calls to the relevant department
  • General administrative tasks as required by the department
  • Once the successful candidate has demonstrated a keen willingness to progress, grow and develop there will be the opportunity for you to be assigned a Fee Earner to work closely alongside to support with a variety of legal matters.

Requirements and Prospects

Qualifications required

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grades A - C including English and Mathematics

Skills required

  • Well organised with an ability to manage a diverse workload effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage activities to meet timescales
  • Ability to work in a team or individually
  • Strong administrative skills
  • A high standard of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Personal Qualities

  • Desire to progress
  • Working to tight deadlines
  • Positive approach to workload with a "can do" attitude
  • Bright, confident and willing to learn
